Here’s another yet to be published tour for RoadRUNNER Travel magazine of the Eastern Sierras. Taking a week on a BMW F800GS, some camping supplies and cameras, I sought out to find some hot springs, but by taking the hard way over several near-14,000 mountain peaks and passes.
When you first lay eyes a grove of bristlecone pines, you’re first thought might be that they’re all dead. But they’re very much alive, for a very long time in fact! Not unlike some grandparents, they’re saggy wrinkled and bending over toward the floor… history lives within them.
