Expedition 65

South of the Border, then the Equator

RAWHYDE E65 MASTEROne of the pies I’ve got my finger in is the RawHyde Adventure’s Expedition 65, a 2016 tour of South America.

This is a bucket list adventure for twelve American riders who will be exploring the South American continent by motorcycle in September of 2016.  The trip is being organized by Jim Hyde from RawHyde Adventures and will begin in Cartagena, Colombia on Sept. 15th and will end in Ushuaia, Argentina around mid – November.  The name of the trip “Expedition 65” is drawn from the fact that the start point of the trip in Cartagena is 10 degrees North Latitude and the team will cross a total of 65 degrees of Latitude to reach the final destination in Ushuaia at 55 degrees South Latitude.

“E65,” as we call it amongst the crew, is a “real life” adventure that will span the South American continent from Colombia to the “end of the world”.  The trip will take approximately 60 days and will comprise the countries of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.  The group will travel approximately 8,000 miles in that time through some of the most diverse, amazing and foreboding landscapes on the planet.
